More-
"The Pink Panther Strikes Once more" is the case of a kitty that has been: spayed, neutered, and utterly declawed.
Simply - nobody told that kitty that. So - she'south going to OD on catnip and effort to scratch the surface off the sofa anyway.
Originally envisioned by director Blake Edwards to be a Closeau-centric "Great Race"-manner globetrotting epic, "Again" was instead put on a diet of lean tuna; trimmed down to a petite hour and forty minutes.
What remains feels like a teaser of a greater film; perhaps what could accept been the greatest of the "Panther" series. Edwards finally seemed to have committed to the absurdly cartoonish presentation of the series. There is no endeavor at even a charade…

"At that place is a beautiful woman in my bed and a expressionless human in my bath."
At this point in my re-lookout of the Pink Panther movies, I can safely state that A Shot in the Dark is the finest, smoothest, well-nigh consequent entry in the franchise. Having said that, The Pink Panther Strikes Again comes an extremely close second. Information technology'due south admittedly hilarious from start to finish, and contains some of my favourite gags of the entire series: namely the asylum visit, the fight with Cato, the parallel confined fall, the Fassbender firm interrogation, and the castle moat infiltration.
To be perfectly clear, ... Strikes Once again is ridiculous. So ridiculous in fact that the next sequel basically ignores its unabridged existence.…

So, nosotros have a main villain who, 'using his knowledge of the underworld, enlists the help of an army of vicious criminals', kidnaps a nuclear physicist, forces him to build a 'doomsday weapon' and interrupts a football game to broadcast his masterplan to the world.
At present, I was happy enough knowing that The Nighttime Knight Rises shared some similar themes with Rocky Iii, but realising that it has same plot every bit a Pinkish Panther film has really taken the shine off it.

A hilarious display of wit and physical comedy that sags when its protagonist is not onscreen, Blake Edwards' "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" is a funny and flawed chapter in the bumbling French detective franchise. Starring Peter Sellers equally the indominatable Inspector Clouseau, the work charms despite its lackluster stretches.
Revolving around a plot to destroy the earth with a gigantic and dangerous ray gun, "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" finds Clouseau taking on assassins from around the world as Herbert Lom's Drefus schemes like a madman. Donning disguises and making utilise of his unique set of skills, Clouseau endeavors to put Dreyfus away for skilful.
The plot stretches together comic set-pieces and story beats, but the beats are never…
-
Virtually plotless alive-action cartoon vignettes pitting Clouseau confronting an fifty-fifty more psychotic than usual Dreyfus, an international coalition of assassins, and his trusty manservant Cato. It seems worth noting that this is the first (merely?) of the Pink Panther films not to accept any memorable women in its ensemble (excepting the Russian agent sent to assassinate Clouseau but to fall in dearest with him later on having sex with who she thinks is Clouseau but is actually another assassinator played past Omar Sharif, whew), and the sexy mystique of the original movies has been accordingly stamped out completely by this point.

ITunes/HD.

A pic that tells the truth nearly the French.

Scene for scene, I think you could make a instance for this every bit i of the funniest movies ever fabricated. Information technology isn't as glossy or tightly structured as the other acme-tier Inspector Clouseau film, A Shot in the Night, but this is the i that never fails to get me howling right from the beginning cheers to the i of the most hilarious opening scenes always committed to film. How on earth Herbert Lom never earned an honorary Oscar of some kind is beyond me; he's easily every bit funny as Sellers hither, and his comic timing is impeccable as he goes from borderline sane and collected to raving insanity inside the bridge of almost five minutes. So many archetype scenes here: the parallel bars, "Does your domestic dog bite?," the entire whodunit interrogation scene, storming the castle, the dentist disguise, "Come up to Me"... it's all pure gold.

Might just exist the funniest Panther motion picture, although it isn't quite as swell as the boldly structured A Shot in the Dark. Definitely a pace upwards from the outset moving-picture show and the The Return of the Pink Panther, although I take a soft spot for information technology. I love the various other movie references and the final i leading into the end credits is so baller. Perfect ending.
"Well, I wish you lot would brand your mind up, I don't commonly make castle calls in the heart of the night, y'all know."
Sellers gives his funniest and most focused functioning as Clouseau, and thank god Herbert Lom kept saying yes to doing these! His plow equally a mad genius supervillain is inspired…

Despite the over the topness, silliness, and repetitive pratfalls, there are yet laughs to be had in this fifth moving picture in the long-running series.
The interrogation of Professor Fassbender'due south staff I've rewatched a number of times on youtube, a sequence with Peter Sellers at his comedic best! The misremembered names are especially amusing to me. I too enjoy the function where Inspector Clouseau dresses upwards as a doctor, and the men in the gay club looking him over is hilarious too.Compared to the early films, a sequel which has lost a sense of reality. An exaggerated parody of detective work, politicians, assassins, and villains. Foreshadowing Austin Powers. The supposedly adept assassins in the movie behave like idiots and those…

"Practice you lot know what kind of a bomb information technology was?"
"The exploding kind."
Honey information technology! It's my favourite Pink Panther pic. I lookout information technology every time I need a good laugh. Peter Sellers is a comedic genius
